EKKAONE “Pamplemousse” EP REVIEW

Brighton based artist EKKAONE releases debut double A-side EP “Pamplemousse / Tsuna” which is an album showcasing versatility in genre-blending sounds.

The first track, my personal favorite, titled “Pamplemousse” is a lively instrumental blend of UK garage and hip hop, featuring dark samples and bleeping synths through the lens of 2-step drum programming. With a playful energy and infectious groove, this track is sure to get listeners moving and nodding their heads.

Inspired by navigating city streets at night, the second track, titled “Tsuna” is moodier and more introspective. Comprising haunting vocal cuts and melancholic beats, this track creates a reflective atmosphere that allows listeners to get lost in their thoughts.

EKKAONE showcases their range in this EP, demonstrating their ability to create both energetic grooves and emotive, atmospheric compositions. Delivering a fresh take on these genres, the artist establishes themselves as a rising talent to watch.

The EP is now available on all digital platforms!
