THELIXX “With You” REVIEW

From Pontypridd, the hometown of Tom Jones, hail Indie-Pop trio THELIXX. Frontman Curt Hicks, guitarist Lewis Hawkins and drummer Shae Owen-Phillips founded the band old-school style when they were still at comprehensive school.

In 2021, THELIXX emerged with debut single 'Magic', the first of three singles produced and co-written by Scouting For Girls frontman Roy Stride (5SOS, One Direction), attracting ample media coverage from prestigious blogs while catching the eye of and support from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio.

Their new single “With You”, is a heart-wrenching track about the intense emotions of two people too afraid to confess their feelings to each other, is sure to resonate with any listener. Exploring the complex and often turbulent journey of falling in love with someone who may not feel the same way.

Band’s words about the song: “This track is one with us at our most vulnerable. Luke came to me with a concept. He had a voice note and a story, and I think it’s a teen feel good pop song at its heart. I think communicating is something we’re really bad at. People in general, it’s really tough. Especially being an adolescent who don’t really know how they’re feeling themselves. I think it’s something most people can see in themselves and identify with. Despite the melancholy undertone, the song itself is really hopeful. I think it’s about giving yourself to someone or something. Giving them all of you”

Through hauntingly beautiful lyrics and sugary melodies, THELIXX are now always With You.
