Nishy “Memories From A Vinyl” EP REVIEW
After two years evolving between Pop and Alternative Rnb, Nishy feels ready to share her songs with the world. Her debut single Can’t Sleep was released on November 28, 2022. Oscillating in this song between ElectroPop and Rnb, adding Lofi Aesthetic and sultry vocals, Nishy depicts a romantic nighttime memory.
Can’t Sleep is the launch single from her debut EP “Memories From A Vinyl” which has been released in February 2023.
Imagine a woman lost in the night, listening to a spinning vinyl... and suddenly the film of her late night thoughts is triggered... Lulled by the sensuality of her voice in the middle of a nostalgic alternative pop ambiance and the romantic Lofi aesthetics, Nishy delivers us the beginning of a story with a deep message: accept to let go and move forward in self-love.
She features in her debut EP the character of Rêveuse (her alter ego), who gradually becomes aware of the ephemeral nature of the romance she experiences as she listens to the record Memories From A Vinyl (Side A). It is through this bittersweet romantic disillusionment that she realises her worth and what she aspires to live.
As the whole EP is inspired by the concept of vinyl records, this EP is only the side A. Nishy is preparing Side B which release is scheduled later this year.
