LETI “Change Is Here” REVIEW
Swiss London-based singer-songwriter Leti makes music that encourages turning within. Travelling across genres, she brings existential inner explorations to life through her atmospheric and contemplative melodies and her authentic, soulful lyrics. Piano/keys are the red thread in all her productions and is often paired with soundscape elements, world music elements, electronic beats, ambient synths, changes in tempo, jazz-inspired harmonic progressions, and theatrical and playful vocal expressions.
Leti returns with “Change is Here”, independently released on all digital platforms on March 2023.
Initially written as a Eurovision Contest entry for Switzerland and markedly different from previous releases, Change is Here is an alt-pop track which aims to create an inclusive, uplifting and energising sound. Layered vocals and synths, glimpses of spoken words, infectious drum beats and a simple yet catchy chorus melody leave the listener with a clear message: 'Change is here, we know it, we can't ignore it'.
Her words about the track: "Writing 'Change is here’ required courage and authenticity. I wanted to convey the messiness and wide range of emotions we might feel when thinking about climate change: sadness, hope, anger, grief and longing for community."
