Nastiya Kai “Wild One” REVIEW

New York City bases singer songwriter, Nastaiya Kai, comes out with her new singe, “Wild one” is actually a song she has been working on the longest. She wrote it when she left home for the US in March.

Her words about the song: “It was a very confusing and scary time for me as I literally just embarked on this journey of really getting to know myself and sort of acknowledge and accept what and who I am. I had like a 2 week “layover” in Paris and was about to leave for NYC to literally spend a month
and a half alone to gather myself.

I actually have a video of me working on the song for the very first time and when I look back at it I realize that this started as a completely different track! I sort of gave up on it then and continued working on it in New York. It started out as this very synthy dance track that I worked on with someone else, and it was a great one, but then when I found my sound we completely re-wrote it with the producer I am working with now.

I change a lot, like everyone else, my moods change, my outlook on life and all. So it’s important for me to note things down in the moment as I might feel a completely different way very quickly. I think being comfortable in a place where I feel at home and working with people I trust allows me to write something I’m really proud of.

It took me a while to sort of find myself and build up confidence to write things in a very raw way. I don’t like to sugarcoat anything and the reality is that I’ve lived in a very dark state of mind for many years and built up many dark stories and emotions that I wanna acknowledge.
“Wild one” is sort of an into to everything that’s yet to come, it’s a fun track but it’s also an intro to all of the crazy stories I’m about to tell and I think you can really see that if you pick apart the lyrics. It’s like “Warned you I’m the wild one, you’re about to find out why”

I get the impression that everyone around me is spending their life trying to be perfect. I don’t want to be perfect, nor do I want my music to be.
I want to be honest.”

“Wild One” is NOW AVAILABLE on all streaming platforms!
