LE YORA “Ascension” - Debut Single REVIEW
LE YORA is a new and upcoming electronic music group from Berlin
It’s composed of 4 famous Deep House DJs/Producers SOMMA, Jewels, yuma and the main singer Magnus. The quartet combines musical influences from Deep/Afro House and Melodic Techno while adding indie inspired songwriting with the goal to create their own niche.
The project starts in fall of 2021 the four came together and, in over the course of six months, wrote, recorded, and produced their debut album (coming spring 2023) in places such as Berlin, New York, and Glasgow.
One of the most interesting part of Le Yora is that everything is engrained in DIY culture. Doing everything themselves from songwriting, producing, mixing, and visual art - they are insistent on staying close to their true artistic vision without letting external influences alter their path.
While they’ve grown up listening to club music, each of the four started their musical journey writing songs before getting into DJing. Now, going back to what they love most, they are hellbent on combining all their influences + skills to create a new wave. The friends will follow up by touring later in 2023, emphasizing creating a warm connection with the crowd - but for now, enjoy their debut single "Ascension"
