Kabelle “Restless Mind” EP REVIEW

Kabelle is a new indie/synthpop band, sounds like Chvrches meets M83, the project started life as solo singer/songwriter 'Katie Jones’ collaborating with artists worldwide on a number of features; most notably on 2 tracks from the latest FutureCop album, “Alive (I Found You)” and “Into the Light”.

Katie wanted Kabelle to be a group project and met producer/artist Adam Gordon online as both were luckily looking for a partner to work with

The pair have worked hard over the past 12 months to craft a unique voice among synths based acts, finding strengths in each others abilities. Katie's powerful voice and the diverse background of Adam's musical influences bridge the gap between bedroom production and exciting live performance.
Drummer Bertie joined the project and Their first single ‘Wonder’ was released in late 2022.

The entire debut EP, called “Restless Mind”, was heavily influenced by lockdown, the impact this had on the band's ability to pursue their passion for music and the anxiety that came from this. It certainly wasn't straight forward, with remote recording sessions and sharing ideas on camera, which definitely confirmed we’re a strong unit as it was, at times, incredibly stressful.

The band says: “We are so proud of the work that was achieved during that time and we are so ready to share it all with as many people as we can through the power of people listening, reviewing & interviewing. The past couple of years has been a wonderful, humbling experience and we're already lining up festivals for next year, and writing our debut album.”

As the strong track of the EP I chose “A Million Pieces”, which best represents the style and originality of the band, but don’t stop there, take a listen to the whole album for a wonderful adventure!
