Hero Dog, inspires you with “mt.hood”

Hero Dog, aka Aaron Mercado, is an up and coming producer and graphic artist based in San Jose, CA. He's somewhat of an enigma, in that much of his early work that was posted to Soundcloud would almost routinely get scraped and taken down. Some of those songs had thousands of plays, he'd take them down just to start again. Aaron doesn't make too many live appearances, but has become quite active online in recent months often sharing new beats, graphic designs, etc. Aaron is also a founding member of the collective Very Tired, Very Sick.

All that said, he finally decided to drop his debut album “mt.hood”. It's hard to get Aaron to talk much about the record, it's insporations, aspirations, and intentions, but he leaves us with this; "this is inspired by trees, by nature, and by everything." The record feels like a mediation in this way, moving you though each passage with a subtle and hypnotic evocation of a feeling.

I think “colorblind” is the best track to represent this feeling, so let’s deep dive in this organic and inspiring adventure!
