Baychimo “Snack” REVIEW
Frederik Meyer aka Baychimo started out as the producer and beat-maker of the danish duo with lead singer and Danish Music Award winner. Baychimo debut EP was “Passage” in 2013 and since that, have worked with all kinds of electronic genres and sound design.
Later one of his track was premiered on P6 Beat and was praised for being "living, floating and breathing as if it was performed with real hands". Over the years his live shows have received brilliant reviews at danish and international events. At SPOT Festival 2017 the Jutland Station praised Baychimo for his concert and stated "Baychimo's set was like watching Bonobo, Modeselektor and Noisia come together for an anarchic, once in a lifetime performance. He’s definitely one producer to watch out for."
Having produced for danish 'mono mono' his collaborations with them have been mentioned in Plastic Magazine and Bands of Tomorrow. Bizzarre Magazine calling the productions "raw and club appropriated sound".
In 2018 Baychimo released a new EP, with tracks influenced by psych rock and trip hop, which were performed at the following years SPOT Festival with drummer Shain Niemeyer.
Baychimo is releasing a new EP in 2023, with new chill and soulful tracks.
I think “Snack” is the perfect single to show his talent, the songs consists of jazzy chords, groovy beats and melodic lead synths that will make you dance all night!
